Elaine Butler

Elaine Butler is an experienced Programme Manager and senior leader with a strong track record of delivering complex, high-impact initiatives across education and professional development. Based at the University of Limerick, she manages Executive Apprenticeship Programmes supporting workforce development and lifelong learning.

Elaine has also served as CEO of CCDA, where she drove organisational growth, strengthened strategic partnerships, and managed the delivery of new facilities and initiatives that support community and sector development. Her leadership in this role reflects a strong ability to set direction, influence stakeholders, and deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes.

Alongside her executive and programme roles, Elaine is an active mentor through the Carmichael Centre, supporting leaders and organisations across the non-profit sector. Through this work, she shares her experience in governance, strategy, and organisational development, helping to build capability and confidence in others.
